About Us

This web site is the product of an effort to help teenagers be better informed of, connect with and participate in their community, school, and social environment. We engaged youth to research and document the beneficial activities, places, programs, and services from a youth perspective. Working in a group forum collected a broader range of interests for teens and more contributions. Using teens as stakeholders more accurately developed a site containing local and specific teen interests as well as a teen user-friendly platform.
Group meetings and individual consultations developed common goals whereupon individual students took on specific tasks. There was an intentional focus placed on positive and beneficial links and broader community resources. Through this effort, we hope we have developed a useful way to better connect youth with the community’s resources, become a more active participant in school and community and acquire Developmental Assets ® to succeed in life.
